Vivo is one of the top competitors in the smartphone market right now. Many people don’t know that Oppo, Vivo and One Plus come under the same parent company: BBK Electronics. After launching smartphones like the Vivo Y12 and announcing the Vivo Z1 Pro featuring a complete package, Vivo has now announced its new upcoming project; the 120W Super Charger. In this article, we will tell you every information you would like to know about the 120W Super Charger.
Growing Super Chargers
Not just smartphones, but their counterparts are also developing. Last year we saw the One Plus Warp Charge of 30W, Huawei Super Charge of 40W, the super fast 50W Super VOOC Charger and Xiaomi too announced their 100W charger which is yet to be seen in any of their smartphones. Now, Vivo has brought a new technology out in the market.
As per Vivo, their future plans involve building up a 120W supercharger. The 120W Super Charger will need just about 13 minutes to charge a 4000 mah battery from 0% – 100%. The smartphone manufacturer is preparing for the MWC Shanghai 2019 which takes place next week. The company might demo their tech in that event.
Is 120W Super Charger even possible?
Coming to reality, the supercharger by Vivo might sound like an interesting concept but to make it a reality, it requires a lot of time and effort. Charging a phone at 120W will create a lot of dynamic heat which most of the current generation smartphones will not be able to take. It does not only depend upon the power of the charger but also on the capacity of the smartphone to handle the heat. If the 120W Super Charger is built and used on a current smartphone, the technology would be a waste as the smartphone would definitely burst.
So, what are your views on the Vivo Supercharger? When do you think such tech might come into play.
