Two Giant companies, Tencent and Qualcomm have formed an alliance to deliver premium gaming content and experience to players from all over the world. In this article, we will tell you what benefits will come from this partnership between Chinese and US tech giants.
Earlier this year Tencent had already officially announced that they will be launching a smartphone very soon. Now, the Tencent and Qualcomm Strategic cooperation might help their plan to produce a great device. With Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform producing powerful chips for gaming and developing chips with 5G support and Tencent’s powerful optimization for gaming will help them develop a great gaming experience.
The integration of 5G platform will further help to improvise the gaming experiences and matching the current needs.
“With 30 years of innovation under our belt, we’re ushering in the new age of gaming. Mobile Gaming, an important 5G use case, will soon take advantage of the next generation of connectivity. Faster speeds, more bandwidth and cutting edge ultra-low latency will support real-time, multiplayer and immersive gaming experience,” said Frank Meng, chairman of Qualcomm China, in a press conference.
Qualcomm too will be benefiting from this partnership. Tencent will help them give tips to improvise their chipsets for the better gaming experience.
Recently, Google announced that they were developing software which would help us play different games online without the need of downloading them. Now, due to this strategic cooperation between Tencent and Qualcomm will help them produce Snapdragon Elite Gaming enhancements, cloud gaming, AR/VR gaming. As per reports, Tencent is currently working on a cloud-based gaming platform similar to ones like that of Google and Microsoft.
