Saaho Movie Review: Is it a blockbuster?

Saaho has hit the theatres and it is getting some really mixed reviews all over the internet. It is the first time that the audiences get to watch Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas’ chemistry. Saaho is also one of the most high-budget Bollywood movies with a budget of 350 crores. In this article, we will give you the Saaho Movie Review and tell whether or not you should watch the film.

Here is the main storyline of the film. When the chief of the Roy Group is killed, several people fight for his position. They go on a worldwide search for a black box which is the main key towards getting the position as chief. Hot on their heels is the police whose characters are played by Prabhas, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Prakash Belawady. Shraddha plays the role of a secret agent.

Without a doubt, the storyline is really confusing with so many characters and stories. There are several scenes which make no sense. The fire tank which flattens almost all the vehicles in the way. It’s like an unethical use of such a high budget. It did seem like the director was trying to hide the weak story by flashy, catchy VFX generated action scenes. In fact, the only things which save the movie are the high-budget fighting scenes and chases. Even though it has a weak story, the high budget and charming presence of Prabhas and Shraddha do save the movie. The chemistry and acting of both are mind-blowing. Mandira Bedi playing the role of a legal eagle from Oxford University is fantastic. She also has one of the best lines of the film: “Mard Kare toh Mastermind, aurat Kare toh dhokha?”

In a nutshell, the story before the interval is slow and a little boring. However, post the interval it does catch speed and then comes action scenes which the Indian fans await the most.

Should you watch it?

If you are a fan of action movies and do not care much for storylines and twists then do go watch this movie. The movie has been made at a budget of 350 crores. It certainly is watchable. However, if you are someone who puts story as a priority, this movie is not for you.
