Google has taken a responsible step and has deleted 29 photo stealing apps from play store to ensure the security for users. Trend Micro found that these apps were forcefully sending the adds which had obscene images and also, they were stealing the private photographs of the users.

Before posting a single picture, we use apps to beautify them and transform a normal click into a picture-perfect photo. This has lead to a surge in photo editing or photo beautification apps on Play Store. Unfortunately, many of them were stealing the private data of the users from a long time.

Recently, 29 photo stealing apps from the Play Store by Google have been removed but they have already acquired millions of downloads. These apps were really playing all kinds of mischief with users mobile phone. They used dodgy tactics where they hid in some gallery inside the users’ phone. This way, once the user installed this app, it becomes very difficult for him/her to find the app and uninstall it.

These apps also showed pornographic adds on the phones and users have also reported that removing these adds was a tough task while one was using the app to edit pictures.
These apps also used to redirect the users to fake websites which asked for user’s personal data. That was not it, it also made users to download the paid pornographic content unwantedly. There is a relief that these apps have been recognized and among these, 29 photo stealing apps from play store by Google has been deleted permanently.
