The Typewriter is the latest Netflix Series featuring Indian Actors. The series tells a sort of horror story through the point of view of 4 small children and an adult Jenny. Many people might even say that it is the Indian copy of Stranger Things as it features Children, Cop and supernatural elements. In this article, we will tell you whether The Typewriter is a good series worth watching.
Set in Goa, The Typewriter begins with Kanwaljeet Singh, the grandfather of Jenny getting complaints from her of someone being in her bedroom. When he goes to inspect her room he finds no one. Jenny then says that someone is under her bed. When Amarnath bends down, he sees the real Jenny telling his grandfather that there is someone on his bed. The beginning couldn’t be more chilling. the shorter lengths of the episodes just add to the fun. However, the show lacks the chills and the horror character from whom everyone fears. the ghost shown in Typewriter takes the form off Jenny and kills people by drying their hearts or sucking the soul out of them. The premise and the story are good.
The show ultimately takes a leap of many years and takes us to the story of Sam, Gablu, Bunty, and Nick who form a ghost club to find out whether ghosts are real or not. Sam, who lost her mother when she was three wants to find out a ghost so it can take her to her mother. Nick is the son of Jenny, who was Kanwaljeet Singh’s granddaughter. She has now returned to live in the Bardez Villa along with her husband and her two kids.
If you are bored with typical Hindi Horror movies then definitely go watch this production written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the one who brought to us Kahani. The ending of the Season 1 leaves a lot of cliffhangers lying around. We will definitely see Fakeer back again. The destroyed Typewriter is now back and will take its revenge upon the cop and the kids who destroyed his plans of coming back to earth.
