The Indian Squad for West Indies Tour has been announced. People were waiting to whether MS Dhoni will be taken into the squad or not. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni himself took two months break to serve in the Indian Army in his state. With Dhoni’s inclusion out of question, we will tell you who all are there in the squad and who all are given a rest.
Only one new inclusion will be seen in the Indian team in the form of leg spinner Rahul Chahar. The West Indies Tour includes 3 T20’s, 2 ODI’s and 2 Tests. Here is the Indian Squad for West Indies Tour

Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah are being given a rest as per part of the Workload management Program. Bumrah will, however, be a part of Test Series. It’s a little shocking to see neither Kohli and Rohit being given a rest in any format. Dhawan will make a return since healing from a fractured finger. Wriddhiman Saha will make a comeback after a shoulder injury in IPL 2018. Rishabh Pant will now get a chance to play all three formats of cricket.
It seems that the Indian selectors have a lot of choices to choose from and are testing different players in different formats. Its good to see so many youngsters being a part of the team. The Indian Tour of West Indies begins 3rd of August. Stay Tuned.
