Nasa has yet again achieved greatness. The Nasa Voyager 2 probe has crossed the end of our solar system and has entered the interstellar space. The Voyager 2 probe was released on 20th August 1977, to study about the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. Even after the completion of the project the probe had fuel left in it so Nasa thought of letting the probe go as far as it can.
The Nasa Voyager 1 probe was the object in the world to cross to interstellar space. Voyager 2 is the 2nd object. It takes 16 hours and 40 minutes to receive a signal from the Voyager 2 travelling whose signals travel at the speed of almost light.
Nasa Voyager 2 crosses into interstellar space
Voyager 2 is among the 2 probes which can help us to contact with alien species. In it includes the origin of earth and various sounds of nature and culture as well as 115 images of all of Earth’s origins as well as creation of Voyage missions.
Wih the help of Nasa Voyager 2 probe Nasa will be looking forward to getting images of solar system’s end and interstellar space.
Comparing data from different instruments aboard the trailblazing spacecraft, mission scientists determined the probe crossed the outer edge of the heliosphere on November 5.
This boundary, called the heliopause, is where the tenuous, hot solar wind meets the cold, dense interstellar medium. Mission operators still can communicate with Voyager 2 as it enters this new phase of its journey, but information — moving at the speed of light — takes about 16.5 hours to travel from the spacecraft to Earth.By comparison, light travelling from the Sun takes about eight minutes to reach Earth.
Well, lets just hope that the Nasa Voyager 2 actually helps us in contacting with good alien species if there actually exist one and not the bad species which can come to earth and kill us all.
