Video and photo sharing social networking service Instagram are now vulnerable regarding the Instagram scam, hackers could steal your data and could blackmail you. Cybersecurity experts of trend micro have warned about acute scams on Instagram. According to them, some Turkish hackers are targeting some of the popular Instagram profiles and trying to hack them. Heretofore, many high profile accounts have been hacked in this scam.

According to Researcher Gingrich Karasake, Instagram accounts having 70,000 followers have been hacked. Accounts of famous actors, singers and owners of startup companies are included in this scam.

Cedric Bernet of trend micro said that when the victim tries to catch the hacker, the hacker asks for money or private photos or videos in lieu of giving up their account, which is very embarrassing. The hacker never gives up the account and this fishing attack is being done directly by new advanced technology.
3. The way of hacking:-
The user gets a mail which seems to come from Instagram. In the mail, it is written that your account will be VERIFIED and for this, you will have to share your account details. They provide a fake page in the mail with a link, after sharing details on given link hacker gets full access to your Instagram account and then the hacker blocks your account so that you can not use it anymore.
4. Safety tips for users:-
Do not open any fake mail seeming like Instagram mail, it is the only way to be safe from this kind of scam. This fake mail looks strange in its design moreover, this mail also has some grammar and punctuation mistakes. If you by chance click on the link then do check domain name and RL if you see any problem then quickly close the page.
