Every year 21st June is celebrated as International Yoga Day. If you would have asked a few years back nobody would have known about it but recently as our P.M. Narendra Modi has been promoting Yoga throughout the country and motivating youngsters to do Yoga, the day becomes an iconic day.
What is Yoga?

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’. It is based on a subtle science which concentrates on bringing harmony and peace in our body and mind. It works on one’s body, mind, and soul.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, P.M. Modi urges everyone to embrace Y0ga and make it a part of their everyday routine. Around only 40% of people in India do Yoga on a daily basis. rest are either too lazy to do it or too busy to even take 10 minutes out of their day. In his speech, the P.M. said that Yoga belongs to everyone and everyone belongs to Yoga.
“In today’s changing times, our focus must be on our wellness as well as protection from illness. That is the power we get with Yoga that is the feeling of Yoga and the ancient Indian Philosophy.” Modi said these lines to address the crowd of 30,000 gathered at the Prabhat Tara Ground to mark the occasion of the fifth international day of Yoga. The theme of the fifth International Yoga Day is “Climate Action”
Not just P.M. Modi, it seems like everyone is giving attention to the importance of Yoga. Recently, Ignou launched a 6 months course about Yoga knowledge. The course costs just Rs 10,000 overall. If you are someone who wants to take Yoga as a career option by becoming a trainer, you can opt for that course.
Yoga cleanses the poison in our body. The poison-filled within our minds. It is a proved fact that you start to feel positive as you engage your mind with breathing and other exercises. Even doctors recommend patients to do Yoga to maintain good mental health.
