Bollywood Star Govinda was recently seen in a popular talk show. During the interview, he literally dropped a bombshell by telling that he suggested the name Avatar to James Cameron. Open a Bollywood News Channel like Zoom and you will definitely find this news along with a video. He went on to say that Cameron offers him a role which he refuses when he comes to know the conditions for shooting.
What did Govinda say?
Govinda says that James Camron told him that the shoot will take about 410 days to complete and he would have to wear paint on his body. Upon hearing the terms Govinda gave an apology to Cameron and left. He also told the 64-year-old director that the shooting will take about 7 years to complete not 110 days.
Turns out Govinda was right and Avatar came out 8-9 years post that. If we are to believe what Govinda says is true then definitely it is a piece of big news. James Cameron is yet to comment on this statement by Bollywood Star Govinda.
James Cameron is currently busy shooting for the sequel to Avatar. He told that there would a total of 4 movies in the Avatar series. The first Avatar movie went on to become the highest-grossing movie throughout the world. It collected 2.75 billion dollars. The record by Avatar was recently broken by Avengers Endgame which got to 2.789 due to its re-release.
The Fox Studios have told that the sequel to Avatar will land in 2020. The director James Cameron in February said that actors like Chris Evans and Channing Tatum auditioned for the role of former marine Jake Sully.
