It was in 2014 that a new trend led people to wake up early on Sundays and visit the famous Connaught place for an event known as Rahagiri. Rahagiri day, an initiative to promote awareness regarding the damaging repercussions of air-pollution which plagues our city is back and for good. It started back in Gurugram in 2013 as a humble gathering but got very viral pretty quickly and soon it was what kept the youngsters excited on Sundays for over two years.
Motive

Starting from 26th of May, this event will be held on the last Sunday of every month with an aim to counter the harmful impacts of air pollution. It will be held at the Inner circle of C.P. from 6 A.M.-9 A.M. and will be home to a lot of activities like cycling, Zumba, bhangra sessions and tons of exciting games.
C.P. has been chosen as it is the best place where youngsters like to gather and we saw that when Rahagiri last happened. With the incoming popularity of games like Pubg and Call of Duty Mobile, it seemed that people have stopped outside their houses. Rahagiri can certainly be the breaker of this trend and start of a new one in which youngsters come together to have some fun without their mobiles.
Rahagiri was a trend which spread rapidly in 70 cities starting from Gurugram and will now resume back in Delhi and that too in Connaught Place.
Also, Rahagiri is a great reminder to us to try and stop the growing pollution in our city, Delhi which is considered as the most polluted out of all the cities in India. So, are you excited for the second season of Rahagiri which will now happen on the last Sunday of June? Comment down below.
