Whatsapp Officials Gives Warning To Political Parties On Behaviour

Whatsapp has issued a warning to the array of political parties in India. The social media giant seems to be in an angry mode.

In the wake of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, on the one hand, if WhatsApp is considered to be the best medium for delivering messages to more people, on the other hand, the company has warned them against misuse of it on behalf of Indian political parties. This information was given by senior executives on Wednesday.

Whatsapp denied to name any political party nor told what kind of misuse was being done. But, there is a lot of concern in India about the fact that party workers can use party workers of automated tools to deliver messages to more people so that the wrong news can be spread to influence voters.

The messaging app has become an important tool in the campaigning for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Opposition Congress workers. On behalf of both parties, they are charged with false news on one another but they refuse to do so on their own.
