One of the most famous app on Google Play Store TikTok App has now been banned from use. The Chinese app has been banned 2 weeks after a state court asked the government to ban the App as adult content is being uploaded and this was creating an unhealthy environment for everyone. With the app no longer available to download in India, the TikTok ban comes into effect, representing a setback for developer Bytedance Technology’s efforts to tap users in a key market. Just in India, TikTok has been downloaded more than 240 million times and in that 30 million downloads were in the month of January. In its Supreme court hearing, Bytedance, the company who has created TikTok defended the app by saying that only a small portion of the app is filled with unhealthy content.
The company had 250 employees in India and was planning to invest and expand much more but it seems that now, no such thing is going to happen.
