After year long battle with Cancer, Rishi Kapoor to return to India

About a year ago Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer. He went to New York to get treatment and has since been living there in an apartment. In a recent interview, he opened up about his health and told some really wonderful news.

Rishi Kapoor’s Statement

In an interview, he said that he is in remission which means that he is now cancer free. In September 2018, he revealed the news about going to New York for some medical treatment without revealing his disease. It was later confirmed on as Cancer.

Rishi Kapoor, who decided to talk about his disease said:

“My eight month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer free.”

Well, before he returns to India there are still some follow up medical procedures which he has to undertake. It is a bone-marrow transplant which should just about take another one or two months. The 67-year-old actor thanked his family and fans for their wishes of good health and says that without them he could not have gotten well.

We all know that Rishi Kapoor is a very impatient person who doesn’t even tolerate a few minutes delay on the sets. How did he manage to be so patient about his disease? In reply to this question he said:

“A person like me who never had patience, this is God’s way to teach me patience. Getting well is a slow procedure. But it makes you grateful for the gift of life.”

As per Rishi Kapoor, he will try to return to India by September. He said that he should be 100% fit and fine before he comes back. A source close to the actor revealed that he is regularly visiting the hospital for several follow-ups and the bone-marrow procedure.
