Realme has become a really successful brand and ranks at 4th position in terms of best smartphone brands in India. Currently there are 5 Realme devices namely Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 and Realme U1. Realme became an independent brand in 2018 but still uses Oppo’s Color OS and charger in the box. The charger might still remain the same but there might be new changes in the OS. There have been news recency that Realme is developing their own Color OS which will power their upcoming devices.
To know fully read till the end. Realme 3 is being promoted to be released within the 1st quarter of 2019. Thus, don’t expect Realme 3 to feature the Realme OS. The upcoming phone after that might feature the Realme OS.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, Realme recently filed a trademark application with the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office. Interestingly, the application talks about something called RealmeOS , hinting that Realme may be working on its own Android UI overlay and could ditch ColorOS for its future smartphones. As noted by 91Mobiles, the description in the trademark application suggests that RealmeOS could be used for OS programs, software to maintain and operate computer systems, and downloadable apps for mobile devices, among others.
Recently Realme have completed 4 million units sale of their devices. If all this continues, then Realme might even beat Xiaomi to become the number 1 smartphone brand in India.
