On the second day of the 6^th season of Pro Kabaddi League 2018, a tough battle between the Tamil Thalaivas and the UP Yoddhas took place with the Yoddhas led by the formidable Rishank Devadiga winning the match. The match ended with a score of 37-32.
Prashant Kumar Rai (8 points) led the Yoddha’s scoring chart while Narender did the damage with his tackles. Mistakes from Thalaivas defense didn’t help as they conceded as many as three technical points in a match where they fell behind early on and never recovered. Ajay Thakur scored 12 points for Tamil Thalaivas but it just wasn’t enough.
UP Yoddhas won the toss of the 4^th match of Pro Kabaddi League 2018 and opened their score chart with 2-0. Beating Ajay Thakur and Manjeet Chillar of Tamil Thalaivas, it was a brilliant start by UP Yoddhas. The Yoddhas were dominating, destroying Chennai in their own city. They took a ten- point lead while Tamil Thalaivas failed to secure a single point. At 10-0, Tamil Thalaivas were all out without any point. The first point for the Tamil Thalaivas came after Manjeet Chillar blocked Prashant Kumar. When halftime struck, UP Yoddhas were leading with a brilliant line up and an even better scoreboard of 18-4. The contest had been one-sided so far with Rishank Devadiga’s UP Yoddhas reigning supreme. UP Yoddhas took the first point after the break as they continued to roll in the contest after the first half. Tamil Thalaivas tried to get back into the game as they hit back with a point. The Yoddhas meanwhile, had already raced to 26 points and would have comfortably won the match. Tamil Thalaivas were steadily catching up as they got third straight bonus point through Atul.  MS Atul makes another exceptional raid to clinch another two points for the Thalaivas.  Tamil Thalaivas were catching up with their score now in double figures when Rishank Devadiga took the matter in his own hands with less than five minutes left into the contest as he went for a raid. An excellent tackle from UP Yoddha defenders under pressure as they ousted Ajay Thakur and went on to win the 4^th match of Pro Kabaddi League 2018.
In the first match of the 2^nd day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2018, Puneri Paltan produced a one-sided, dominating performance to beat Haryana Steelers 34-22 and register their first win of Pro Kabaddi Season 6 in Chennai. The next two matches will be held between Dabang Delhi and Gujrat Fortune Giants and between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas.
