Movie Review Of Zero – The curiosity of watching Shahrukh Khan in the new avatar as a short- height fellow very soon subsides in the movie Zero. This effect actually worked to the advantage of the film. Shahrukh Khan here portrayed a character called ‘Bauwa Sigh’ who is just four feet and six inches tall. The commendable thing about this character is that he is not involved in a self-pity mode and the director has not laid a stage for sympathy, just because the main character is a dwarf.

In fact, Shah Rukh’s character is likable because he is overconfident and funny in a cute manner. His height is never a hindrance in his confidence, not even at a single place in the movie Zero. Anand L Rai has opened the movie with a lot of expectations but as the movie proceeds, the promises takes the form of dismay.
Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sheba Chadha play Bauva’s parents ad their part is humorous, real and these characters have all the charm of the small town atmospherics. Here is another character which touches the right chord of the audience and that is played by Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub as Bauva’s best friend. The movie Zero changes its storyline abruptly, as Bauva meets a talented scientist who has a condition called cerebral palsy, played by Anushka Sharma. Despite his coarse mannerisms, Afia (played by Anshka) falls for him! The problem with Afia’s character is that despite a lot of efforts, Anushka was not ale to portray this performance convincingly.
Movie Review Of Zero – The surprising ad most pleasant thing about this flick is Katrina Kaif’s performance as Babita Kumari. She is introduced as a girl who is heartbroken, angry, always intoxicated and is prone to kissing unknown people on the highway! In this nicely realized performance, Katrina really brings her best acting chops to the table in the movie Zero. She makes Babita’s cynicism alive and her performance is worth applauding. The efforts are painstakingly made in constructing this film but the film after second-half derails. We expected a lot but the climax comes after a long time and it felt like nothing but a slog. Movie Review Of Zero, in the end, left cine-buffs heart-broken and dejected! Do not go with many expectations.
