John Abraham always puts his physicality to good use and elevates his movie through the character he plays. Biceps which spreads for miles and his chest looks like they will burst out of the sleeves of his T-shirt. Giving expressions is not something the actor is known for so he used his stoic mannerisms to play this role which did complete justice to the part he is played in the flick.
Romeo Akbar Walter is the name of the same man who is a spy portrayed magnificently by actor John Abraham. As an audience, you can see him making efforts. The flaw here is big which just made mighty efforts of John Abraham of little value. There was a problem in the script of this flick which was written by Robby Grewal who is also the director of this film.
This art of work is an absolute salute to the anonymous martyrs who risk their lives for the safety of the country without taking any credits. The film is set in the year 1971 when the Bangladesh liberation war happened. Rehmat Ullah Ali also known as Romeo is a person who is a bank cashier by profession but is good at drama and disguise. This is the reason he gets recruited by an officer for the intelligence service of India.

This weakened the screenplay as well. The movie is filled with many such stupid scenarios. The other thing that is definitely going to bother the audience is people giving each other sensible looks and speaking in language and expression which even a common chap would understand. The settings are authentic and the camera work deserves all praise. But unfortunately, authenticity lacks in the characters of the movie. Even the moments which are genuinely breathtaking fail to make an impact because of the sluggish pace of the movie.
The Pakistani characters are nothing but the same cliché characters with a familiar accent and look. It is these clichés that we do not want to see on-screen but this movie will force us to. But unfortunately, the way it is carried is so bland that the audience would just not get any sense of urgency or an edge of the seat moment.
Mouni Roy is only eye candy in the film and this movie review of Rome Akbar Walter, we will also tell you that in the end, this flick submitted itself to the patriotic formula that Bollywood has been using since forever. The film started with a lot of promise but will disappoint you in the end.
