India Vs New Zealand 1st ODI: The Blackcaps bow down to the kings!

India Vs New Zealand 1st ODI was witnessed today. It seemed that the Black Caps were totally ready for the Indians. They had the advantage of their home ground too. Well, India seemed to beat all odds and proved the critics wrong. They beat New Zealand without breaking a sweat. It was that easy. To start with, the bowling attack of the Indians was not that different.

There were Shami, Bhuvneshwar, Chahal, Kuldeep, Jadhav and Vijay Shankar. Out of these Kuldeep picked up 4 wickets while Shami got 3 out and Chahal got 2 while Jadhav got 1 out.

From New Zealand it was their captain Kane Williamson who hit 64 runs and tried to take forward the innings but Kuldeep Yadav got him out. They hit a total of 157 runs and got all out in just 38 overs.

India came down to bat and something unusual was seen today. Due to the glaring heat of the sun the match was delayed for 30 minutes, thus the match came down 1 over. Shikhar Dhawan was in a fine form and after a certain amount of time he was seen scoring a 50 runs. He scored a total 75 runs and took India to victory. Virat Kohli scored 45 runs before losing his wicket while Rohit Sharma got out at just 11 runs. Ambati Rayudu and Shikhar Dhawan finished off the match. India won in just 35 overs.

It can be said to be India’s easiest victories in recent times and such victories remind us of how great our Indian cricket team has become. With certain performances it can be said that the Indian squad is ready for the world cup and who knows, we might even win this time like 1983 and 2011.
