The game is loosely based on J.K. Rowling’s original stories that take place players at the center of their own adventure. There is a story which goes as follows: A calamity has befallen the wizarding world, causing Foundables-magical artifacts, creatures, people and even memories to mysteriously appear in the Muggle World. As a new recruit of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, you’ll work with witches and wizards from across the world to solve the mystery of the calamity and keep magic safe from Muggle Eyes.

You have to first set up your profile: Create your avatar. You can click your picture and your character will have the same face as you. Imagine yourself in the magical Muggle World. It is the hub for your items which includes The Vault, the profession menu, and potions.
Gameplay
The Gameplay of Harry Potter Wizards Unite follows similar to that of Pokemon Go. It displays your character on a map which is based on the real world and locations around you. On this map are buildings and items which you can interact with.
Assignments
The game assigns you a series of assignments. Some are those which must be completed within 24 hours while others are long term ones. Completing assignments gives you additional rewards.
