Spiderman has been in the MCU universe since 2015. Sony has had the rights to spiderman since 1985. Disney and Sony came into a partnership according to which Spiderman will become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The profits were shared between the two companies for the two Spiderman movies since. In this article, we will tell you why is Spiderman leaving Marvel.
The reason for such is due to the disagreement of profit-sharing among the companies. It seems that Disney asked for a 50/50 financing agreement between the two studios for further Spiderman Movies. However, Sony did not agree to such and said they would continue the deal only if the arrangements are kept similar to that of the first two Spiderman movies. The earlier deal was that Marvel would get the 5% of the first dollar gross and all of the merchandise revenue.

However, Marvel does not want to go with that deal.
There have been reports that two more Spiderman Movies were in the plans. However, if the deal between Marvel and Sony is not finalized we would have to say goodbye to the friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
Disney allegedly refused to that. Now, if the two companies don’t agree for a contract, it seems that we would have to say goodbye to Spiderman from MCU.
Tom Holland played the role of Spiderman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was given a lot of appreciation for his performance and the chemistry between him and Iron Man became a fan favorite too.
The story in the first two movies is pretty different from the earlier Spiderman Movies. However, they do show many same characters like Aunt May, Peter Parker, and Mary Jane. The character of Aunt May has gone through a lot of changes and she is now a modern aunt.
