LG W Series Smartphones launched: Do they have the Wow factor?

The much awaited LG W Series Smartphones have made their way in India. 3 Smartphones were launched by LG this morning. The devices come with several interesting specs and price range but do they have the Wow factor as their name suggests? We will discuss that in this article.

LG W 10 Specifications

The first device in the LG W Series is the LG W 10. The device has a 6.19 inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a wide notch. It comes with the Mediatek Helio P22 processor and has 3 Gb Ram and 32 Gb storage space. It has a simple matt back which is easy to hold. The device comes with Android Pie and Stock Android UI which is the best feature in the device. LG W10 comes with all connectivity options like Wifi, GPS and gyroscope. It has dual rear cameras of 13 M.P. + 5 M.P. and a front facing camera of 8 M.P. The device has a fingerprint sensor and a front face unlock. It has a 4000 Mah battery with a standard charger. The pricing of the device is Rs 8,999.

LG W30 Specifications

The LG W30 is slightly bigger than the LG W10. It has a 6.3-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch which is customizable. It comes with the same Stock Android UI and Android 9 Pie. The device has the MediaTek Helio P22 and 3 Gb Ram + 32 Gb storage space. It comes with a triple rear camera of 13 M.P. + 12 M.P. + 2 M.P. and a front-facing sensor of 16 M.P. It has dual band wifi and all other connectivity options. The device packs a 4000 Mah battery and is priced at Rs 9,999.

LG W30 Pro Specifications

The LG W30 Pro is the final smartphone released today as a part of LG W Series smartphones. It comes with a gradient back which feels premium to the hand. It has the same Stock Android UI and comes with Android 9 Pie. The device sports a 6.23 inch HD+ IPS display with a waterdrop notch. The difference is that it has a Snapdragon 632 processor. It sports Triple rear cameras of 13 + 8 + 5 M.P. and a front facing camera of 16 M.P. The device packs a battery of 4000 Mah and has the fingerprint sensor and front face unlock. The pricing of this device was not given in today’s launch event.

Availability

The LG W10 and LG W30 will be available on Amazon starting 3rd July. Furthermore, the LG W30 pro will come later on.

Opinion

Not just a personal opinion, but an opinion of many YouTubers of the devices launched is that all of them possess a weak processor. In an era where devices under 10 K have the Snapdragon 660 processor, MediaTek Helio P70 processor, LG has provided to us the processor which is only good on paper while lacks the performance angle. Still, the other features are worth noticing. The stock Android UI, the triple rear camera, the attractive body of the devices make them a good choice. If only the processor loaded on them was much more efficient, would the devices be really good?
