WrestleMania 35 was one of the biggest and the most successful WrestleMania out of all there have been. It was attended by over 80k people which has only happened 3 times in the history of WrestleMania. In this article, we are going to tell you about the winners and results of Wrestlemania 35. So, let’s start.
(1) Seth Rollins defeat Brock Lesnar to become WWE Universal Champion
The match began even before the bell was rung. Lesnar took hold of the match early but it was the low blow used by Seth against Lesnar which did the deed. Add to it 3 huge curb-stomp finishers of Rollins and the beast was slain.
(2) A.J. Styles defeat Randy Orton
This can be said to be Randy Orton’s best match in a very long time. We actually got to see the Viper we knew in the match. Even though Styles defeated him Orton performed really well and entertained us all.
(3) Kofi Defeats Daniel Bryan to win WWE Championship
Doing just what Daniel did in 2013 at WrestleMania 30, Kofi defeated Bryan in a really hard and well-fought fight. Bryan was at his best but Kofi who had the momentum and full crowd support eventually came on top.
We just hope that Bryan’s hell turn finishes after this because it is disappointing seeing your favourite wrestler being booed down by the crowd.
(4) The Iconics win the Women’s Tag Team Championships
In what was the biggest upset of the night, Iconics won the women’s tag champs and defeated 3 other pair of women namely Sasha and Bailey, Tamina and Nia Jax and Natalya and Beth Phoenix. It was a good and competitive match but looked to be just a filler in comparison to other top class matches.
(5) John Cena returns as Doctor of Thuganomics
In what was a classic return, John Cena interrupted Elias’s performance and turned heel on him. He rapped and made fun of Elias and some of his rap lines were more than PG-Rated.
It was the first time since 2002 that John Cena returned in this Avatar and it was quite an astounding Wrestle Mania moment.
(6) Demon Finn Balor defeated Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley’s return is turning out to be a joke. This is because he is just not getting the reaction, Vince might have thought he would be getting. That is why he keeps losing matches even though he has the capability to defeat even Brock Lesnar.
The match was quite simple and fun to watch as Demon fed off Bobby and defeated him with his finisher.
(7) The Usos retain Tag Team Championships
The Usos were one rare team to have defended their championships at this year’s Wrestle Mania because most of the championships were exchanged at the event.
The Usos fought really hard and beat the Fatal 4-way Odds to pave their way to victory. They are the only team who have entered WrestleMania 3 years in a row as Tag Team Champs.
(8) Baron Corbin defeated Kurt Angle
This match brought tears to the eyes of the fans because Kurt deserved a victory in his farewell match but instead got defeated by the Lone Wolf Baron Corbin.
After the match, he gave a farewell speech and made his way out.
(9) Triple-H defeated Batista and ended his career
The No-Holds barred stipulation made the match between these two on the best of the night. Both the players who are fighting at the edge of 50 performed really great and gave it all in the match.
There were many gory scenes like when Triple H dragged the Nose Ring out of Batista. At the end with the help of Ric Flair, Triple-H won with the use of Sledge Hammer and The Pedigree finisher.
(10) Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte and Ronda Rousey in Win it all match
It was a classic Wrestle Mania match and the ladies did not disappoint. Instead, the match could be rated better than last year’s WrestleMania main event where Roman Reigns was defeated by Brock Lesnar.
Although Becky won, the best performer was Charlotte who looked to be at the top of her game. Ronda continuously used abusive words to the match making it much more aggressive and somewhat toxic for the fans. The ending, however, was not planned to be controversial where Ronda’s shoulder seemed to be above and not on the floor.
