Kahaani: The best Indian thriller/mystery movie till now?

Kahaani was a movie released back in 2012 and it has been 7 years since its release. It stars Vidya Balan as its main character who plays the role of a pregnant lady named as Vidya Bagchi. The movie was so highly and well reviewed by critics and said to be the best thriller/mystery movie till now in India.

The movie showcases the story of Vidya Bagchi who is in search of her husband Arnav who had came to Kolkata for a software engineering project back and it has been 2 months since he had contacted her. Things go wrong when the HR manager of the company Agnes, where Arnav was said to be working reported to Vidya that there was no Arnab working under her but Arnab had a face which resembled close to an employee named as Milan Damji. After that the intense sequences the movie has and the final twist which just shakes you or gives you the excitement which you are expecting to watch in a movie.

The best thing is that Vidya Balan plays the role so well that no person would not have liked her role. She just fit into the character so well that we can relate to Vidya Bagchi, the sadness she feels upon the displacement of her husband. Vidya Bagchi is helped by Rana throughout thr movie for the search of her husband.

Now, the thing that comes in our mind after watching Kahaani is that: Isn’t it the best thriller created in our Indian cinema. Well, the answer may vary because in 2017 a movie named Ittefaq was released which has even better ratings than Kahaani. The movie features Siddharth Roy and Sonakshi Sinha in main roles.

Movies such as Kahaani and Ittefaq are such which are rare gems and are appreciated till now! We just hope that such movies come again in bollywood sometime soon.
