Zomato, an online restaurant search, and delivery portal are under a lot of criticisms due to an unnecessary row of events. In this article, we will tell you everything to know about Zomato’s Non-Hindu Rider controversy.

Let’s start from the beginning. Amit Shukla ordered food from the Zomato App. The person who came to deliver his food was a Muslim. Mr. Amit refused to take the delivery and told the delivery boy he will accept the order only from the hands of a Hindu. He sent the Muslim boy back.

When a Zomato official came to know of it, he gave a perfect reply to such a discriminating person. Amit Shukla was told that he won’t get his order back and his money will not be refunded. Thereafter, came a tweet from Zomato’s official handle:

‘Food doesn’t have a religion. It is a religion.’

Amit Shukla, who didn’t want to look back also took to Twitter and said this:

‘Just canceled order on @ZomatoIN they allocated a non-Hindu rider for my food they said they can’t change rider and can’t refund on cancellation I said you can’t force me to take delivery I don’t want don’t refund don’t cancel.’

Since then, people have begun to uninstall the Zomato App and posting bad reviews on the Play Store. People who are regular on Facebook will know about the memes on Zomato App.

Another brand who decided to stand with Zomato, Uber Eats got into the heat when a tweet was made mentioning they stand with Zomato. The controversy is currently a very hot topic on the whole social media.
