Xiaomi is a company that knows how to adapt itself to the close environment. Seeing the great shift from the use of fingerprint sensor to the face unlock they have now added this feature to the Xiaomi Redmi Note  5, the successful successor to the Redmi Note 5. That is some awesome news for the Redmi Note 5 users who can now flaunt the face unlock feature to their friends.

Well, seeing that the One Plus is giving a direct Android P update to its One Plus 3 and One Plus 3T it is not shocking that Xiaomi also shows that they do not just create a mobile and forget about it the next year. They care about their users and that’s why their sales are increasing day by day, such that Xiaomi has now become the number one smartphone selling company in India.

For information purposes as reported by Xiaomi they claim to have sold approximately 5 million units of the Redmi Note 5. the upgraded version of the mobile the Redmi Note 5 pro was the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature the front face unlock feature.

Now there are many Xiaomi mobiles having the face unlock feature and the Note 4 is a part of it.

How to enable it?

Now let’s discuss a more important topic. How do you enable the face to unlock feature on your mobile? Well, to do so you have to first enrol your Redmi Note 5 to MIUI 10 Global beta program.

Once enabled, the Redmi Note 5 users can start updating their device with the latest version android 10.8.8.2 or MIUI 10. To enable the face to unlock go to settings >> Lock screen and password >> Manage face data. Like the other mobiles, only one face can be registered at a time.

Well, certainly this is a wonderful news for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 users but don’t be too excited because as the feature is not pre-included it is not as safe as the fingerprint unlock. The face unlocks might not work in dimly lighted areas and not be as fast as in the i-phone X.
