The new festive emoji-a Diya-is, not just a simple concept. Instead, Twitter has added a little trick to make it more fun. There are two modes running on Twitter right now: Light Mode and Dark Mode. While viewing the Diya in the light mode, the flame will be a little small. However, if you change the mode to Dark Mode, the flames will be higher. The flame size is the same for both Dim and Lights Out Dark Modes. The emoji will be available on the platform till the 29th of October.

Twitter India introduced the emoji with the tweet:

“This year for #Diwali you can decide how bright Twitter’s Diya emoji should burn! Switch to Dark mode on Android or iOS and you’ll see the flame burn brighter. ”

Manish Maheshwari, the Managing Director of Twitter said, “In line with our tradition of engaging people in this conversation, as well as delighting them with innovations, we have launched a ‘Lights On’ Diya emoji to represent the joy of the festival of lights.”

Earlier this week, Twitter brought out the Light Out Mode for both Android and iOS devices. The mode looks cool as well as is bliss for our device’s battery life. You should not confuse Lights Out Mode with Dark Mode. The Dark Mode changes the background to a blue/gray theme. However, the Lights Out Mode changes the app background into a pitch-black color.

Well, the Diya Emoji is a great way to wish your friends and other people a Happy Diwali on Twitter. I hope you liked the article. Share it with your loved ones.
