The Walking Dead Season 9 mid season premiere episode brings yet another death of a main character before going on a haitus for 3 months. It was one if the most scariest episodes of the whole season. We finally got to see some action between the walkers and the whisperers.
The Walking Dead Season 9 episode 8 : Who dies?
The Walking Dead Season 9 episode begins with Negan and Father Gabriel talking and Gabriel trying to fill some sense and peace into the mind of Negan. Well, that obviously doesn’t work well. On the other hand Rosita wakes upband tells Michonne and the group about the dangers of the strange walkers where Eugene is been stranded. Daryl, Aaron and Jesus are on the search for Eugene. They finally find him with the help of Daryl’s dog named Dog.
Eugene starts to tell them that these walkers are not like every other walker. They were whispering to him. The 3 obviously considers him to have gone mad. The walkers surround them and they have to leave. Daryl stays back to see the walkers and to throw them off their trail.
This however doesn’t happen. The walkers go to where Eugene, Aarona and Jesus are. They have to pick a fight. Jesus stays back to hold some walkers while Michonne and the new group arrivals reach them and try to help. Suddenly a walker ducks Jesus’s move and turns his own sword into Jesus’s heart. It was the most emotional moment of the Walking Dead Season 9 episode. Aaron was heartbroken to see him lying there still.
But, the episode didn’t end there. The whisperer before killing Jesus said “You are where you do not belong.”
What did the line mean? When Daryl killed the whisperer he pulled off his mask to reveal a person. This means the whisperers are not walkers who have evolved. Rather they are just people who dress up like the walkers and are trying to hurt Daryl and the group.
What are their motives? What do they want? All of us are dying to know the answer to that. On the other hand Negan is now out of his prison. Father Gabriel might have forgotten to lock his prison gate. The 2nd half of The Walking Dead Season 9 will premiere starting 10th February. That’s a long wait! But we are people who have waited almost an year now after the Avengers Infinity war ending. So, we can adjust to this.
