Snapdragon 712 Processor introduced: Here is what’s new!
Qualcomm have made a new addition to their snapdragon series and it is the successor or a little upgrade over the snapdragon 710 processor: The snapdragon 712 processor. It is an octa-core processor “that adds performance boost and makes it a powerhouse for gaming and beyond”.
The Snapdragon 712 brings the 8 cores of Kyro 360 which run at 2.3Ghz as opposer to snapdragon 710 which ran of 2.2Ghz. Qualcomm has said that the new chipset is 10% faster than the snapdragon 710 chipset.
Another addition is the presence of Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ along with True Wireless Stereo Plus and broadcast Audio Technology which provides better bluetooth Audio and an enhanced experience of listening to songs. Also, the snapdragon 712 offers better and smoother AI capabilities than the Snapdragon 710 which is a little difficult to believe as the Snapdragon 710 has really great AI capabilities and a slight upgrade is just a cherry on the cake.
Apart from that the Snapdragon 712 takes in all rest of the features of the Snapdragon 710, which includes Adreno 616 GPU and the Hexagon 685 DSP. The X15 modem, which supports LTE Cat.15 downlink and Cat.13 uplink, is also present in the 712. Camera support remains unchanged with 20 MP dual and 32 MP sensors being supported.
Now, that the Snapdragon 712 has been launched we can expect a device with the same processor really soon, maybe in the 3rd Quarter of 2019. What are your views on the snapdragon 712 processor. Which company do you think would be the first to adapt the processor into its devices?
