Netflix never disappoints is something so consistent that you can almost get a tattoo of it. Netflix recently released Narcos Mexico , with the predecessor being Narcos (2015) that revolved around the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar who burned Millions of dollars to keep her daughter warm. Narcos Mexico revolves around the screwed up legislature in countries back in the 1980s and conflicts between locals, drug cartels and the American Government.

In this series Diego Luna plays the role of a drug lord who is absolutely ruthless and Michael Pena plays the role of a dedicated DEA agent as together they recreate the story of El Padrino who created a network of drug traffickers operating from Guadalajara, Mexico. He starts building his empire with Marijuana and eventually turns to cocaine. The story of Gallardo comes to an end when he gets arrested in April 1989 after making billions of dollars.

The direction and cinematography of Narcos Mexico is just as brilliant as the previous version. Mexico’s 1980s high life would charm, intrigue and scare you with snow white cocaine, exotic women and endless booze.

One of the most applauded things of Narcos Mexico was that the storyline wasn’t isolated to Mexico only. The King of Medellin Pabo Escobar is featured many times, The Cali cartel also has a significant role to play

The script of Narcos Mexico accurately paints the hostile environment that was faced for the DEA agents as the corrupt Mexican government wouldn’t properly assist them. Altogether, Narcos Mexico is closely knit with incredible performances of its talented cast clubbed with action packed scenes that recreate history. Filled with intriguing cinematic, shocking explosions, and the effective implementation of a detailed script Narcos Mexico might just turn out to be the best Netflix series released this year if it isn’t already.
