Later on, Prabal took to Twitter to clarify that he is not dating Karan Johar and the that he is just his dearest friend.

I feel very saddened and disappointed to need to say this, but to officially set the record straight: I am not in a romantic relationship with Karan Johar. My recent Instagram post of the two of us was done with humor and my absolute love of Bollywood, its melodramatic flair and the one and only Madhubala.”
He also clarified that he has been in a romantic relationship with someone else for over five years. let’s just hope that the other person hasn’t got batshit crazy. He also criticized the media who are speculating his friendship with KJO to be romantic to stop with all these false reports and attempt to reassess their myopic idea of love between two people, between two men. He said that as a global society we need to expand our definition and understanding of love.
