Well, the number I Love You 3000 might not just be a random number. It might be just meaning something.
Having lost the war against Thanos in Infinity War, Tony Stark moves beyond Iron Man and leads a happy life with Pepper Potts and their daughter Morgan Stark in Avengers Endgame. In an Endgame sequence, Tony tells her daughter that he loves her 3000. Later, the phrase is repeated via a hologram when Tony dies. This what makes the sequence one of the most famous one.
Now, a theory regarding Iron Man’s ‘I Love You 3000’ is making a huge round on Twitter. It suggests that it is not a random number, but the number comes from the total run time of the entire MCU movies equalling to 3000 minutes.
Even though this makes a lot of sense, the directors Joe and Anthony Russo declined the theory saying that it is just coincidental. They say that they never ever calculated the entire run time of all movies. The entire runtime being 3000 minutes is a very lucky coincidence and nothing else. Anthony said: “We are not that smart. Its hard enough to make these movies, trying to hit a minute count like that seems off the mark.”
Well, even though he says that this thing is quite a coincidence but don’t you think it is wonderful. A dialogue meant for his daughter by Iron Man might be a dedication to all the fans of the Marvel Universe who took their time to watch all the movies of MCU.
