This is the first time that Indian Cricket Board will be inviting women skippers from all the Indian states at the event of ‘Annual Domestic Captains and Coaches Conclave’.
Indian Cricket Board Invited Women Skippers

This conclave is going on for more than ten years. Coaches and captains from various Ranji Trophies attend the event and they give their advice and feedback to BCCI administration about the last ended season. This is going to be the very first time in India that women cricketers will also be part of the event. This decision by Indian Cricket Board is highly appreciated.
The date for the conclave is May 17 where women cricketers will be joining their male equivalent and will present their opinion on just concluded domestic event. Saba Karim, who is in charge of overall development of women’s game said “Yes, this is the first time that domestic women’s team captain and chief coaches have been invited to the conclave. Their feedback is very important and we would like to know what they thought about the last season.’’ During a conference, he was asked whether there is a possibility of having a full-fledged women’s team for IPL. Karim did not say anything when he was questioned about this
Since this move is welcomed by Indian Cricket Board, there is a huge possibility that big names from women’s cricket team like Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj, Jemimah Rodrigues will be attending the event. Talking about the men conclave, captains and coaches from Northeastern states will give their feedback and this is one of the important aspects of the discussion in the conclave.
There is also a probability of sub-standard umpiring could be discussed in the meeting. In total, 6471 registered players are taking part in the conclave. There were more than 1000 matches of cricket held in the 2018-2019 season. Stay connected to stay updated for more news from the cricket world.
