India Vs New Zealand 3rd T20: India loses by 4 runs!
The India Vs New Zealand 3rd T20 was a roller coster ride match. It was a high run chase match which didn’t end well for the Indian side. Although, it can’t be said that India didn’t give it all to try and win the match and break a record. India have never beaten New Zealand in T20 Series and the record continues.
The match startee with New Zealans being asked to bat first and Colin Munro gave to them a start needed. He scored 72 off 40 while Seifert scored 43 off 25 deliveries. It is times like this that Bumrah is missed dearly. Why does Indian selection committee make him take time off after one series. He won’t be ofcourse playing all his life. These 10-12 years are the years in which he can perform really well after which age will take over.
Other New Zealand Batsmen played small useful innings with the help of which New Zealand achieved a score of 212-4.
From Indian side except for Kuldeep yadav who took 2 wickets and conceeded only 26 runs in his 4 overs none of the other bowlers looked to be in form.
Indian Batsmen failed to start properly. Dhawan lost his wicket in the first over itself. Rohit tried really hard but it was not his day. He scored 38 off 32 balls. Vijay Shankar looked in form. He scored 43 off 28. Pant was ferocious. He came down and scores 23 off just 6 deliveries. In the end he scored 28 off 12. Pandya scored 21 off 11 while Dhoni got out early at 2 runs only. It was upto Kartik and Krunal to take India home. They tried very dearly. Kartik scored 33 off 16 while Krunal scored 26 off 13. Still India lost by 4 runs.
There are many who have been saying that Kartik’s 1 run error made India lose. Although, don’t you think that the more experienced batsmen should have been on the strike. Thus kartik was right in his choice. It was just not the day for India.
People should start respecting the cricketers for their performance and not criticize them as it is really hard to perform in front of so many people.
