Love Life of today and Love life in the ’90s have a lot of difference. One of the most important ones is the existence of smartphones. At that time there were none. (1) Love Letters
Writing letters was one of the most common ways through which a boy or a girl used to express his/her love for the person they loved. In today’s world, there might be many couples who had never ever written any letter to each other but in the 90’s era when life was not so fast, love letters were very prominent and also really romantic. Although, a pigeon delivering your letter to your lover is something that some people still do if they really want to impress the person whom they love.
(2) Audiotape
If you have watched the T.V. Series Friends you might have noticed that Chandler creates one for Monica. In the 90’s era, Audiotapes were really famous. People used to record a series of their favorite songs on an Audiotape and used to give them to their lovers. It was considered as really romantic especially in India. This is actually how Love Life used to be in the 90’s Era. I am blind guessing that many of you must be wanting to experience such things.
Well, they are not possible. Not in the fast-paced life of today.
(3) Phone Booth
There used to be a time when STD calls were really famous and also really expensive. If people had such phones available at home, they used to call really frequently because of the high charges of those phone calls.
If the lovers lived far from each other they would go to Phone Booths near them and call each other. At that point of time Phone Booths were the only source of communication.
(4) Nearby Roadshop
90% of lovers in the 90’s era used a nearby road shop to meet and spend quality time. As there was no other source to talk to each other, lovers used these shops and made them their Lover’s Point. The shopkeepers also used to be really sweet natured and were called as godfathers.
