Hardik Pandya, K.L. Rahul controversy: Is the punishment really worth it?

Whether you are active on social media or not, you must have heard about The Hardik Pandya, K.L. Rahul controversy. They are being trashed on the social media for what harsh comments thay made on women upon their meeting with Karan Johar on his show Koffee with Karan.

At first, the comments were fitting. Both of them had done wrong deeds. They were rightly trashed on social media. Laterz they were banned by ICC for playing against Australia and they had to return to India. That too was good. Now, there are reports saying that BCCI is thinking about not allowing both of them to play world cup and IPL. There are many people who have come out and said that these two have got the punishment they have deseved and enough is enough: They too are humans and made mistake. They should not be banned for that.

People are certainly over-reacting upon the issue which can lead to these two having their careers getting ruined. Yes, they did a bad deed but both have sincerely apologised for their mistakes. Pandya has not made one appearance in the media since the issue. He is afraid he is gonna say something. Not to forget these two are people who have won some important games for India and this is not how we should repay them.

Indian people get really emotional upon small issues and that is what has happened in this case too. There have been several memes about how K.l. Rahul due to Hardik Pandya has gotten caught up in the issue but that is not so. Both were responsible and made bad comments.

Rahul Dravid and other cricketers think that K.l. Rahul and Hardik Pandya should be forgiven for what they did and that certainly makes sense. Life is not just about thinking and living about past issues. It is about embracing what is yet to come.
