Game Over is a Thriller film features Tapsee Pannu as its main character. The film is a Tamil-Telegu film dubbed in Hindi. The movie is gaining a huge audience thanks to positive word of mouth as well as good critic scores. In this article, we will discuss whether or not you should go to the theater to watch the movie.
Game Over Movie Review

Straight from the beginning, the movie captures the people with a horrifying scene. A 27-year-old woman is beheaded brutally by a psychopath. Not just that, her head is thrown into a live fire too. This scene enthralls everyone and captures everyone’s attention. We now see the life of Swapna, a video game developer who is afraid of darkness. She also deals with post-traumatic stress disorder. She stays in a big bungalow with her maid.
The main villain of the story is a psychopath. The story tells us that crime need not have a cause. People who have a desire to see others suffering pain and putting them in immense torture gives them a kick. Same is our villain. He chases a woman who lives alone, stalks them, finds the correct moment to behead them and then burn their head in a fire. He films the incident on a video tape. After doing the same with the 27-year-old women, he now chooses Swapna as his next target
The movie tries to draw a parallel between the virtual world, Swapna’s situation and more. The only thing that the movie lacks is a good climax. The climax seems repetitive or we can say somewhat forced. The story could have had shown us deeper into the mind of Swapna.
Tapsee Pannu’s performance is what makes this film a definite must watch. If only her character could have gotten a much more insight, this would have been one of the best psychological Bollywood thriller movies ever. Still, Game Over is a great movie in today’s time and definitely a one time watch.
The movie takes its inspiration from Hollywood Slasher Thrillers like ‘The Strangers’ and ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’.
