Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6: A perfect Ending?

The Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 was the last episode of the most enthralling, exciting and the best political series in the whole world. It brought an end to 8 years of such storytelling that has brought tears to the eyes of fans as well as gasps and surprises with untimely deaths of major characters. The sixth episode was one of the best episodes this season. It had the character development which other episodes lacked.

The sixth episode begins with Tyrion giving up his position as the hand of the queen and being prisoned for releasing his brother Jaime. Jon meets him and Tyrion tells him that even though he loves Dany, he has to kill her because she has become a mad queen. Jon initially refuses and goes to meet Daenerys who tells him about her wish to conquer the whole world. Seeing the insaneness in her eyes, he decides to plunge a knife to her heart which immediately kills her.

Drogon comes and surprisingly burns the Iron Throne and takes away Dany in his claw. There can be two reasons for that: One being that he realized that it was the Iron Throne which led to the demise of his mother and the second one is that he believed that the Iron Throne killed Daenerys with its Knife. The second one is obviously a humorous choice to believe. Nonetheless, Drogon doesn’t burn off Jon and he is trapped by Greyworm.

After a certain amount of period, we see a gathering of all the royals including Sansa, Arya, Bran, and many others. It is decided with opinions from everyone and most of it from Tyrion, that Bran will be made King. If you have watched the whole episode then there is no need to further mention the ends which all the characters got. Sansa became Queen of an Independent North. Bran has become King of the six kingdoms and the first of his name. Arya goes on a quest to find what’s west of Westeros. Hopefully, it’s not WestWorld because that would be a bummer. Jon goes back to being in the Night’s Watch. It was somewhat sad to see such a main character getting such an end but this is what it eventually is.

Surprisingly, the last episode didn’t get as much hate as the earlier episodes got. Fans were extremely sad about Game of Thrones now coming to an end but need not worry as a prequel is in the making and will come soon.

The episode as a whole is a really great one leaving the characters’ story open. SOme beautiful scenes of the episode were when Daenerys came down to the ground with Drogon and it gave an effect that she had wings. Another beautiful thing about the ending is that it is related to how to the show began: With a search for life outside the walls. It has ended in the same manner. We just hope that this time Jon is not killed by the White Walkers whom we think has been banished after the killing of the Night King.

Any Sequel?

Sadly, as reported by some Game of Thrones officials, there will be no sequels for any characters like Arya, Sansa, and others. The ending finishes their story once and for all.
