The Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 features scenes which had made Game of Thrones famous in the first place: i.e. Killing off its main characters in a pretty Gruesome manner. We’ll discuss it all later in the episode but first, let us warn you that there will be spoilers ahead. So, if you have forgotten to read the title and haven’t watched the episode, do so.
First, let’s talk about the fact that in an approximately 75 minutes episode there was really less action so we can say that it is a downfall to its previous episode. Thank God, the brightness level of the episode was good and we were able to see everything clearly.
The beginning of the episode was giving off a farewell to everyone who gave their lives in the great war. Theon Greyjoy and Ser Jorah were given special send-offs by Sansa and Daenerys. A war against Cersei is planned which is strongly opposed by Sansa as most of the Dothraki Army Men were injured and had not yet healed. We see Gendry proposing to Arya who refuses politely. Seriously, what was he thinking?
Still, Daenerys took them and went off in ships to the Kings landing where mid-way they are attacked by Euron Greyjoy. His fleet kills Rhaegar and now we only have Drogon left. In the process of attacks, Missandei is captured by Euron’s army and taken as prisoner.
At the end of the episode, we see Daenerys coming with the Dothrakis to ask Cersei giving up the Iron Throne which Cersei refuses by asking the big man to chop Missandei’s head off. It truly was a gruesome ending to such a sweet character which we had seen since the beginning.
The next episode will feature the final fight for the throne with Jon fighting at Daenerys’s side. We might also witness the mystery of who Azor Ahai is. The 4th Episode can be said to be a really great build up to the biggest fight for the 7 kingdoms.
George RR Martin has promised a bitter-sweet ending and seeing that none of the fan theories ever come true, we are going to expect something new every time. Well, this is all that happened in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4. Hope you liked the article.
