India was chasing a steep target in awesome India vs. Australia ODI. However, the team won by six wickets. The players have established the second highest run chase in the history of the Adelaide Oval.
Virat Kohli scored a phenomenal 104 off 112 balls in awesome India vs. Australia ODI. Dhoni stood his ground and scored a 55 off 54 balls and remained “not out”. His made a very crucial stand with Dinesh Kartik. Dinesh Kartik himself scored a 25 not out against 14 balls. Rohit Sharma made 43 runs while Shikhar Dhawan scored 32 runs.
Shikhar Dhawan had earlier been dismissed on duck and was determined to take the full advantage of the great batting conditions in Adelaide. He was, however, dismissed on 32. This, in turn, brought Rohit Sharma and Kohli together on the crease. This set the field for the duo. They are after all the most prolific scorers in the one-day format o cricket. They made an impressive 54 runs before the fall of the second wicket. The duo’s partnership was sadly broken when Rohit Sharma made an error judgement against the baller Marcus Stoinis.
The team put up a great performance but it was Dhoni’s performance in awesome India vs. Australia ODI that as everyone going gaga. He played the exact kind of innings that he is expected to play while chasing huge targets. Dhoni had to be tended to like the intense heat of Adelaide took a toll on him. He, however, soldiered on and took India to victory.
