Many of you might not have watched this film. Andhadhun is a movie featuring Ayushman Khurana, Tabu in the main role and Radhika Apte in supporting role. Khurana plays the role of blind pianist named Akash who just acts as if he is blind. He actually can see but to improve his focus acts as if he is blind. Mr. Pramod Sinha, a famous actor impressed by him invites him to perform a concert for his wife.
Akash, goes to his house unknowing of the fact that his wife Simmy had killed him and as Akash was acting being a blind person Simmy allows him to enter and hears the concert. Simmy and her lover who killed Pramod Sinha move his body into a suitcase and throw him in a river. Akash after leaving the apartment goes straight to the police station and finds out that Manohar(Simmy’s Lover) was the head inspector there. From there the story goes really wild and you just have to see it to understand it properly.
There is a reason why the movie has earned 111 crores at just a budget of Rs 32 crores and has gotten 100% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes site. The mystery element continues to play with you. It is also sort of a black comedy showcasing how much humanity has gone down because of the urge of earning money doing false and corrupt chores.
Tabu( Simmy) and Manav( Inspector Manohar) are an absolute delight to watch as the villains in the movie. You are going to hate them like you should hate a villain while viewing the picture. The movie is loosely based on The Piano Tuner, a 2010 short french film featuring a blind pianist. First Kahani, Ittefaq and now Andhadhun, Bollywood is slowly making its way in the genre of mystery and crime thrillers. These are actually good movies you are going to like whether you like to watch movies or not.
