The decision by Facebook will have one of the two effects listed below:

- It will decrease people’s trust in both these apps due to the current scams facebook has been put under.
The decision by Zuckerberg and other team members is insightful. They just want people to know that the thing which they are criticizing (Facebook), is the main reason behind apps like Whats App and Instagram.
A spokesperson from Facebook confirmed the plan, noting that “we want to be clearer about the products and services that are part of Facebook.”
The possibility of renaming was first made by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, who had spotted signs of the new branding in the code of Instagram.
