This year, 17th and 18th of May 2019 is the time when Mount Abu Summer Festival in Rajasthan would be celebrated. The festival is celebrated on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. This is one of the festivals which Hindus and Buddhists gather together and celebrate with great enthusiasm.

Events At Mount Abu Summer Festival

1) Tug Of War

This is one of the competitive events that happens in this Summer Festival. People can feel the sense of belonging to the festival and this is why competitive event along with few others like skating race, matka race etc. are organized. People develop great enthusiasm and enjoy a lot with such events in the festival.

2) CRPF Band Show

The CRPF band performance is one of the centers of attractions of the show. CRPF people from all the ranks perform in this show and show their talents.

3) Ballad Singing

The folk singing is mesmerizing to the ears. The songs which singers sing is mainly about the season and happiness that those seasons bring along. These songs also contain the stories of forgotten heroes like Gogaji, Tejaji, Ramdeoji and many others.

4) Folk Dance

This Summer Festival, women dancers perform ‘Ghoomar’ which is a folk dance of Rajasthan. Fast music, co-ordinated dance steps and brightly coloured costumes make the show worth watching.
