Redmi Go to go on sale soon: Is it worth the buy?

Xiaomi recently launched their very awaited smartphone Redmi Go in India. The device is a lite version device and in this article we are going to tell you what all you are going to get in Xiaomi Redmi Go device and is it worth your money or not?

Specifications

The Redmi Go has a 5 inch HD+ screen with huge bezels. It has those normal 3 buttons that used to come in smartphones of 2017. It runs of Android 8.1 oreo and is powered by Android Go program wherein it will get really quick updates. It has the Snapdragon 425 processor.

The device features a rear camera of 8 megapixels and a front camera of 5 megapixels. It has 1 Gb of Ram and 8 Gb of storage. It has a 3000 Mah battery and it is a complete stock Android device. It has YouTube Go, Google Go and many such apps installed within. This is all there is in the Redmi Go device.

Price

The Redmi Go is priced at Rs 4,499 in India. Ind Dubai the same device costs Rs 3,300. You can actually see the difference. Also, in 2017, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5A with 2Gb Ram at Rs4,999. Thus, it can be said that the price is a bit high as per the specs.

If in 2 years Xiaomi gives us the same Hardware or we can say reduced hardware at the same price, then it depends upon you to know if the device is worth your time or not.

Opinion

Overall, this is the most uninteresting phone that has been launched by Redmi in a long time. The Redmi 6A was similar but still had Value for money but this device doesn’t even offer that.

It will be better if you can add 2-3k more and buy the Realme 3 or Realme C1 which have really improved hardware in comparison.
