The second edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ was held recently in which P.M. Modi had a really great answer for students spending time playing Pubg Mobile. The interaction session involved 2000 students, teachers and parents, touched upon issues ranging from examinations and the stress related to them. During the interaction, the topic of technology became a significant area of discussion.
Modi on students playing Pubg Mobile
One parent asked a question which must be on the mouth of all the parents of children who are devoting a lot of their time playing online games like Pubg Mobile. The question was “My son use to be really good with studies, but for the past some time, his inclination towards online games has drastically elevated. I tried explaining him a lot, but I’m unsuccessful.”
Upon hearing the question, P.M. Modi who looked ready with an answer said “Is he the Pubg one” which left the room in splits. This tells us that even our P.M. Modi is updated with how famous Pubg Mobile has became and how many students are not concentrating on their studies but concentrating on improving their Pubg gameplay.
P.M. Modi further said that technology is both a boon and a bane and the students are the one who have to decide how to use it! He said that the parents should discuss about it calmly with their children over dinner conversations.
He said “This is a problem as well as a boon. We want our kids to go far from technology but in a way that is like going backwards in life. And exactly why we should encourage kids in technology, but we should know the kind of use kids are making of technology. Is the technology making him a robot or a human?”
“If parents take an interest, making technology a part of table conversation. Then the kid will believe that whatever I’m doing, my parents might help me in it,” he added.
Recently, Pubg Mobile has been totally banned for primary school students in Gujarat by the NCPCR( National Commission for protection of child rights). As per them, Pubg Mobile was badly harming the studies of the students and was necessary to be banned. What do you all think? Is banning Pubg Mobile the only option left?
