A new feature is going to be added in google maps which will help pedestrians to reach their destination accurately. The name of this feature is AR (augmented reality) navigation feature which will help pedestrians to find the exact way and location. This feature will use the camera of the user’s smartphone and by showing a digital arrow on screen it will take you to your destination. This feature will be very useful and easy to use especially for pedestrians it’s a boon of technology. This technology will be very beneficial for blind people as it has voice notification which will give alert to its user so that users can easily follow the voice notification and reach their precise destination.
1. Precise direction:-

With the help of this AR navigation feature of Google, users will get direction alert which will make them get rid of the problem of asking directions, other people. According to the reports, the user will be able to use WALKING mode on google maps. It is being claimed that there is no chance of misleading or misguiding in this app but it may cause some problem in urban or metro cities. Though it will have some flaws google is know for its perfection google will find out some way to improve this flaw.
2. Voice notification:-

The safety of the user has been preferred while making and programming this app therefore while using this AR navigation feature user will get voice notification so that user can easily walk towards his/her destination without looking at the screen. This voice notification feature will be very beneficial for blind people. Google is testing this feature and according to local guides programme, it would be provided only to the high-level members of the company till its official launch.
