Xiaomi launches MIUI 10, Mi 8 and 5 other devices.

Xiaomi Inc. yesterday announced an army of products at the company’s annual product launch event in Shenzhen, China. The company launched seven new products that not only has smartphones but also a TV, AR/VR accessory, health band and a new UI for handsets. Below is the list of all the new things Xiaomi brought in the market.

1. Xiaomi Mi 8

The flagship smartphone of Xiaomi, Mi 8 is its product for 2018. It is currently available in China only. Being company’s first to sport a ‘notch’ and an in screen fingerprint sensor. Some of the key specifications of the device are 6.2-inch FHD + AMOLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, dual 12MP rear camera, 20MP front camera and 3400mAh battery.

 

2. Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition

Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition has the same set of specifications as the Mi 8 but has one major design change. The smartphone has a unique translucent back, which gives its users a peek of all the machinery packed inside the device.

 

3. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE

Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is the budget version of the flagship Mi 8. It is also the world’s first smartphone to run on Qualcomm’s latest processor, Snapdragon 710. Also, it is loaded with specs like 5.88 AMOLED display, 12MP+5MP dual rear cameras, 20MP front camera and 3120mAh battery.

 

4. MIUI 10

MIUI 10 is Xiaomi’s latest UI that comes pre-installed with the Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Mi 8 SE. The UI is scheduled to be updated into older Mi devices too. What’s new is, that it comes with various cosmetic changes and is also packed with some AI-based features as well.

 

5. Mi Band 3

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is the latest addition to the fitness band range of Xiaomi which comes in three different colour variants. It has a 0.78-inch OLED display with 128×80 pixels, 110mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.2 support. There is another version that includes NFC chip as well.

 

6. Mi TV 4 (75-inch)

The 75-inch Mi TV 4 has the biggest screen size that Xiaomi has to offer in its range of televisions. The TV is loaded with company’s own AI voice assistant and also has a 4K HDR Ultra HD display powered with 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The appliance runs on a 64-bit ARM-A53 quad-core processor.

 7. Mi VR headset

The latest Mi VR headset is made in collaboration with Facebook’s Oculus division. It comes in two variants based on 32GB and 64GB. The standalone headset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and has a 2K fast switch.
