After getting a grip on the smartphone market Xiaomi now aims to top the feature phone market. They have launched they first ever feature phones named Qin. Let’s take a close look at its features and specs.
Specifications
- The Qin comes with a 2.8-inch screen with a resolution of 320×240.
- It has a T9 keypad, 4G connectivity, Wi-fi, and Bluetooth.
- Its design is nostalgic, similar to the old hardened Nokia handsets.
- Its AI capabilities will include real-time translation.
- Xiaomi is making the phone available in two models- Qin 1 and Qin 1s
Qin 1
The Qin 1 is the lower-powered model and comes with a Media Tek MT6260A chipset, 8 MB Ram, 16 MB storage, and one ARM7 CPU core. It won’t be having GPS or LTE and will be able to access only 2g networks. The phone will have Bluetooth and will run on an OS known as Nucleus. This feature phone will support dual sim support and have a battery of 1480 Mah.
Qin 1s
The Qin 1s is the most powerful of the two Xiaomi Feature phones and sports a spreadtrum C9820 chipset, 256 MB RAM, 512MB storage and two 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. It will have GPS, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, 4g connectivity and will run on an OS referred to as MOCOR5. This phone will also have dual- sim support and 1480 Mah battery.
Price
The Qin 1 is available for just 1999 Rs in China money and the Qin 1s is available at Rs 3000.
None of the smartphones will be having an audio jack and neither a front or a rear camera which makes both of the phone’s kind of dull.
As per the report, the phone is currently only available as part of the crowdfunding campaign and there is a high possibility that these mobiles would never be sold anywhere outside China.
However, the phone has made news in China as the crowdfunding campaign received about 1crore Rs in an hour of going live, apparently passing initial fund targets set by Xiaomi.
