Angels and Demons is a novel of the writer Dan Brown and it introduces us to the character of Robert Langdon, who is a Harvard University professor of religious iconology and “symbology” (a fictional field related to the study of historic symbols, which is not methodologically connected to the actual discipline of semiotics).
Angels & Demons shares many stylistic literary elements with its sequels, such as conspiracies of secret societies, a single-day time frame, and the Catholic Church. Ancient history, architecture, and symbology are also heavily referenced throughout the book. A film adaptation was released on May 15, 2009.
One thing about the novel is that the first 100 pages seem just a little boring but after that the action catches up and you seriously won’t put it down.

The novel is written a year later after the happenings of the Angels and Demons Novel. It is another of Dan Brown’s novels and it is certainly impossible if you haven’t heard about this as it has been converted into a wildly famous movie also.
It follows “symbologist” Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu after a murder in the Louvre Museum in Paris causes them to become involved in a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jesus Christ having been a companion to Mary Magdalene.
It is a must read not only for the ultimate best plot you can imagine but also that it has a story of Jesus which is somewhat true. Your knowledge about Christianity would certainly increase after reading this novel.
(3) The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
The murder of Roger Ackroyd is a thriller novel written by Agatha Christie. It is also in the prescribed course for the 3rd semester English honors students in DU. In the novel Agatha Christie builds up a plot based on lies. On knowing about the ultimate murderer you would certainly either really hate her or praise her for such a story. The novel in itself is a really wonderful read.
(2) Gone Girl
Gone Girl is a thriller novel by the writer Gillian Flynn. It was published by Crown Publishing Group in June 2012. The novel soon made the New York Times Best Seller list. The novel’s suspense comes from the main character, Nick Dunne, and whether he is involved in the disappearance of his wife.
It is a first person narrative and involves narration by both husband and wife(who disappears mysteriously). You would be confused on whom to trust and whom not to trust till the end. Like the Murder of Roger Ackroyd this novel also gives false narration to deceive the reader. It is an ultimate must read if you like thrillers.

Killing Floor is the debut novel by Lee Child, first published in 1997 by Putnam. The book won the Anthony Award and Barry Award for best first novel. It also is the first book to feature the character Jack Reacher. It is written in the first person.
The reason for placing this novel on number one is that Jack Reacher has such a wonderful personality that you will find any of Lee Child’s novels unable to put down. They just take you into another world: a world where you will actually see someone killing someone.
