Simmba is a movie which had entirely shifted its gears after the second half. But it is obvious that actor Ranveer Singh had a blast. The kind of grand entry that he is given had only been seen by Khans until Rohit Shetty chose this actor for Simmba! Ranveer’s slow-motion entry where he is seen chasing goons and background score soaring is all set for cheer and whistles. Water splashing and colorful clothes flying, and amidst of all this, he punches the bad guys. These are the scenes which have still kept th charm and magic of ‘dark hall’ alive. He chases and punches does every action of a cop and while he continues doing all this, he still sings, dances and gives audience scenes for claptrap repertoires.

Simmba is a movie which fully lightens up with the conviction and energetic performance of Ranveer Singh. Soonu Sood also does a fair job as a guy with his dirty business who pays ‘SIMMBA’ handsome money to turn a blind eye over his dirty deeds. All this delicious Bollywood cliche continues in the first half and is stuff that the cine-buffs were waiting for.

However, Simmba is a movie which becomes completely different in the second half. A rape revenge drama which was not expected from a Rohit Shetty film. However, this plot twist is solely fixed in the flick to grow consciousness in the heroes mind, who had been living only to take money until then. Even after this film is about women’s justice in the second half, we see Sara only in a few frames. She played a spunky young maiden who is involved in a catering service next to the police station (of course where SIMMBA is posted). Her screen presence is even lesser than than the screen presence of Ajay Devgn’s guest appearance. Simmba is a movie which is one part Singham, and the other part Dabang. The movie is a full entertainment and if you are in a mood to enjoy Bollywood vibes, do not miss it!
